Visioning Project:

February 2019

  Dear Visionary Committee Members:

Where we are and what we do is not necessarily all that we can become in Christ's name. The ''Visioning Project'' is a gathering of people from all the committees at Ludington UMC to focus on the future vision of our church over the next 3-5 years. Change is inevitable and we are tasked as Christ's disciples to prayerfully and wonderfully discern our future.

The ''Visioning Project'' will include all committees in the church and their respective members. You are being asked to step outside what you know comfortably about this church, its mission, its activities, programs, and clergy and non-clergy staff AND determine how we might make improvements that will enhance the work of our church on behalf of Christ.

We are asking that each committee review the list of accompanying questions and prayerfully discern what you believe to be two of the most critical questions for your committee. Then, your committee chair will bring those to the next visioning meeting for further discussion. We ask that your committee complete this first phase prior to April 1, 2019.

Thanks in advance for your prayerful thoughts and discussions around how we might make the Ludington United Methodist Church even better.

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, ''For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, ''plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope."
